Writing Center Resources for Students and Faculty

The Writing Center is a valuable resource for students and faculty and is the go-to place on campus for writing help. As the fall quarter approaches, learn how to take advantage of these great resources.

Student Resources

Individual and Group Consultations
Students can get individual or group consolations on any writing assignment, at any stage of the process. Make an appointment at 303-871-7456 or through MyWeb on PioneerWeb.

Online Appointments
Students can use Zoom to connect with the University Writing Center to get writing assistance. Be sure to have a device ready to connect! Learn more about Zoom here.

Faculty Resources

Consultations for Faculty
Faculty can connect with the Writing Center to get a consultation on any piece of writing or the teaching of writing. Writing Program faculty as well as Writing Center consultants can meet with faculty to discuss framing writing assignments, commenting on student papers, incorporating informal and writing-to-learn activities, and more.

Facilitated Peer Reviews
The Writing Center can assist faculty who would like their class to visit the Writing Center to work with consultants in small groups. Facilitated peer reviews are available in weeks 3-9 of each quarter.

Classroom Workshops
One of our faculty or advanced consultants can conduct a 45-minute workshop for your class with a focus on a particular writing assignment. Meet with a facilitator two weeks in advance to plan the workshop. Writing consultants can also visit your class for 10-15 minutes to introduce your students to the services and programs we offer and to answer questions in weeks 2-9.

For more information about these resources, please visit the University Writing Center website.
