Join the 20th Annual University of Denver Diversity Summit, January-March 2021
The University of Denver is students, faculty, staff, alumni, neighbors, histories, futures, and perspectives. This year’s 20th annual Diversity Summit will harness the connective potential of our experiences, personal realities, and learnings, forging a path forward beyond diversity through concerted, meaningful, and combined efforts.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the University of Denver Diversity Summit will run several consecutive weeks of virtual speaker events from January through March of 2021.
“This year and for the first time ever, DU’s Diversity Summit will take place over 7 weeks. In this time, we as a DU community will be exploring the interplay and intersections of the impact of 2020 through a lens of antiracism and antidiscrimination,” said Tom Romero, Interim Vice Chancellor of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in a statement on behalf of the Diversity Summit Steering Committee.
Through real time, as well as asynchronous learning that includes 30-plus sessions and 50-plus local and national speakers, the summit will examine the many ways in which our collective past informs our shared diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work for the future.
The DU and University College community is invited and encouraged to participate. You are asked to register for each event. Over the course of seven weeks, there are a variety of session and workshop offerings. To view the complete schedule and register, please visit the summit schedule page.
“We are excited for you to join us at such a momentous time in DU’s history,” said Romero.
