Ways to Impact Your Community

As the holidays draw near, many of us begin thinking about what we can do to impact our communities and make a difference in the lives of those around us.  Colorado Gives Day further reminds us to reflect on ways we can support the many outstanding organizations that serve our communities every day.  And certainly, charitable giving is one meaningful way to contribute.  But what else can we do—around the holidays and beyond—to make an impact?

• Understand and Empathize— Get to know the needs of others and put yourself in their unique positions
• Reflect— Think about how your unique skills, abilities, and connections can be put to use in your community and beyond
• Connect— Find ways to join others who share your passions, interests, and concerns
• Engage— Become an active and involved member of your community and remember that you are a part of the community you serve
