Graduation Story: Kacie Hopkins

We asked graduates to share their journey to graduation. Here is what Kacie Hopkins (Global Community Engagement) had to say in her own words…

The Global Community Engagement program has been life changing for me. The program has helped build my confidence. Before this program I thought a master’s degree was out of reach. Throughout the program I have been able to reflect on my life, the world, and the different communities I have been part of. I started a social enterprise while taking classes in the program. My master’s capstone has given me the opportunity to back my endeavors with academic research and evaluation of my ideas. I am blessed to have worked with professors such as Dr. Arianna Nowakowski and Dr. Darryl Meekins and many more who have encouraged and challenged me along the way. The past two years have prepared me to lead the social enterprise in exciting and innovative ways and reminded me the importance of cultural diversity and global connections.

Congratulations, Kacie!
