The University of Denver is pleased to offer student email accounts through Office 365. Office 365 is provided by Microsoft and offers a number of features to help you create and edit documents, store your files, and work with other DU students on group projects. The DU email address is the official University of Denver means of communication, and will be used in campus applications such as online tuition bill notifications, Canvas, Portfolio, and the online student directory. Please check your Office 365 email mailbox to ensure that important information from University offices, faculty and colleagues is received. You may elect to forward email from your Office 365 email account to a personal account.
First Time Log-In
Students must complete the following steps to ensure that your Office 365 account is activated.
1. Office 365 can be accessed at office365.du.edu. You will need to provide your Active Directory username and password to log in. For most people, this takes the form of email@example.com as the username, and your PioneerWeb password. If you are a new employee or student, you must change your PioneerWeb password before logging into Office 365 so that your password can be synced with Microsoft Active Directory. If you do not do this, you will not be able to log in. Once you have entered this information, click “Sign in” to log into Office 365. About Password Resets
2. If this is the first time you are signing into Office 365, you will need to activate your OneDrive for Business before accessing other features of Office 365. If you do not do this, certain features of Office 365 will not behave properly and you will not be able to download any free copies of Microsoft Office.

DU Email Address
The University of Denver provides all students with a DU email address: firstname.lastname@example.org and an Office 365 email mailbox. As a newly admitted student you will receive an email or letter indicating that your DU email address has been created and that your email@example.com account is available on Office 365.
To forward your DU email to a personal account, or to change forwarding options, please log into Office 365 and in Settings chose Options and then Forwarding. More information is available online. Change Email Forwarding Settings in Office 365
