New Academic Director for Strategic HR and Organizational Leadership
University College is pleased to introduce Dr. Molly Smith as the new academic director for both the Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Leadership programs. Molly brings a wealth of knowledge about the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, as well as an insider’s perspective of University College given her experience teaching and being an integral member of the Learning Experience Design team since 2011.
Molly’s passion and commitment to student success is evidenced through her ability to provide exceptional classroom experiences both online and on campus. In her role on the Learning Experience Design team, she supported, guided, and coached University College faculty for many years, working closely with faculty in the Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Leadership programs.
Prior to joining University College, Molly worked for the Boettcher Foundation and in people development for Chipotle Mexican Grill. Molly also spent time teaching English and Leadership in rural Ethiopia with the Cunningham Foundation and working with the National Leadership Development Program for the U.S. Geological Survey. Molly continues to work with several local and national organizations to enrich our communities, both locally and nationally.
Molly earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the Morgridge College of Education, a Master of Education and Human Resources Studies from Colorado State University, an M.B.A from Daniels College of Business, and a B.A. in Communication from DU.
